The international conference on professional education TVET 2018 under the slogan «Skills for Business and Business for Skills» was held in the capital of Armenia, Yerevan. The conference was organized by the RA Ministry of Education and Science, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, acting on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) with co-financing from the European Union.
The main objectives of the conference are the exchange of international experience and new methods in secondary professional education, strengthening links between public and private SPE institutions in Armenia; supporting the implementation of the SPE reform program; creation of recommendations for the effective development of SPE in Armenia. The TVET 2018 conference is an important event for all organizations and experts interested in professional education quality. The conference results made it possible to outline the future development of the SPE in Armenia at a fundamentally new level.
More than two hundred people participated in two parallel sessions, heard the reports of six speakers from four countries, got the opportunity to see the presentations of more than twenty experts on seven main topics, visited six colleges in Armenia, got acquainted with the original methods used in each of them, and with student achievement.
